Joshua Mackey aggressively represents clients coming from a balanced experience in public policy, grassroots campaigns, and small business development. Mr. Mackey has worked for the Georgia General Assembly in the House of Representatives and the Senate, as well as statewide political campaigns.
Mr. Mackey served with State Senator Don Thomas and managed committee activities and policy briefings for the Senate Health and Human Services Committee. Mr. Mackey also held a similar position with State Representative Brooks Coleman, Chairman of the House Education Committee. During his tenure at the State Capitol, Mr. Mackey successfully navigated many difficult policy and procedural matters and developed strong relationships with elected officials and other key individuals working at the legislature and state agencies.
Mr. Mackey was also selected by former State Senate Majority Leader Bill Stephens’ campaign for Secretary of State as the Deputy Political Director. In this position his responsibilities centered on the creation and management of a statewide grassroots network of volunteers, in addition to playing a significant role in the coordination of events and voter contact programs.
Mr. Mackey has also had grassroots experience in the private sector, helping to manage grassroots efforts for companies such as Wal-Mart. In addition, Mr. Mackey has several years of experience in working as an entrepreneur and helping to develop small businesses. These experiences range from the opening and administration of small businesses, advising on compliance with government regulations and ordinances, and assisting in the growth of small businesses.
Mr. Mackey graduated from the University of Georgia with an A.B. in Political Science. He currently resides in Woodstock, Georgia. |
